Guadian Dog Rescue is a Non-profit rescue. We take dogs first and foremost from shelters in dire need. When in our rescue they are fully vetted before going to an adoptable home. Fully vetted means, Spayed or neutered, HW tested and on prevention, Flea medication if needed, all vaccines current. We also do full behavioral assessments on all dogs. We have a certified animal behaviorist on staff to evaluate all dogs effectively. We are not a quick adopt rescue, we want to make sure that the dogs we rescue will not end up in that situation ever again. So we do phone interviews, we do home visits with the prospective dog and follow up visits as well. We also try to match the dog with the prospective owner. You may fallin love with a picture but that dog may not be a good match for your home, so please do not take offense to that. We try to get to know each dog thoroughly and any quirks they may have so that there are no suprises when it comes time to adopt. The breeds we rescue are difficult breeds and face a lot of challenges when adopting such as BSL in specific areas you may live, home owners isurance etc so again please be aware before you consider these breeds as well.
