Arizona Cattle Dog Rescue is a non-profit organization whose mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and ultimately re-home abandoned, stray and neglected Australian Cattle Dogs. Whenever possible we also assist ACDs who, because of extenuating circumstances, are unable to remain in their homes with their owners.

ACDR dogs are all housed in foster homes where they are evaluated for temperament and personality. While in foster care they are given and enormous amount of love and care, including any rehabilitation that they may require. They learn basic house manners and social manners. Because of this kind of personal care and training we are able to place our ACDs in homes that are well suited to their needs and to the needs of their future owners. Our first priority is the dog’s need. We are not a first come first serve organization.
ALL of our ACDs are spayed or neutered, brought up to date on vaccinations and micro chipped prior to adoption. Any other medical treatment that would be required to insure the health and happiness of the animal is provided as well.
We are very fortunate to have a caring and dedicated team of volunteers, board members and supporters. We operate solely on public donations and fundraising proceeds. We exercise fiscal responsibility in handling our adoption fees, donations and other fundraising receipts to provide the maximum care for our rescue dogs and to ensure our financial viability into the future.
Whenever possible we strive to educate not only prospective homes but ALL people about the unique personalities and needs of Australian Cattle Dogs. We also strongly promote spay/ neuter educational programs to help prevent the pet overpopulation crisis.
