Davidson County Animal Shelter NC

County-operated animal shelter with the mission to protect the citizens and animals of Davidson County.

The Animal Shelter is an open admission facility that houses sick, injured, or lost animals as a place for owners to look for their lost pets and animal lovers to find a forever friend.

The shelter's vision is to give abandoned and neglected pets a second chance to live long, healthy lives in safe, loving homes.

We strive to promote humane treatment of animals, prevent cruelty to animals, and provide a facility to return animals to their rightful owners. We are a shelter established to protect, feed, and house the stray, injured, abused or unwanted animals in Davidson County. We are primarily funded by Davidson County government and donations.

When owners can't be found, or animals are surrendered by their owners, the shelter and many passionate, devoted volunteers hope to find them the permanent, furever homes they deserve.
