Our goal is to stop and prevent inhumane attitude towards animals and to educate people about real nature of animals as beings who feel pain, suffering, fear, joy, etc. We provide medical treatment and care for sick, hurt and homeless animals, rescue them from the street in our shelter. We file criminal charges against persons who abuse and are cruel to animals.

lecenje i nega bolesnih i povredjenih zivotinja, sterilizacije i vakcinacije pasa i macaka sa ulice i njihovo smestanje u azil, udomljavanje, podnosenje krivicnih prijava protiv lica koja zlostavljaju ili nesavesno brinu o zivotinjama.




Dog RescueShelter Mladenovac established in 2007, is one of few Serbia’s largest non-profit, no-kill animal shelters. We have placed over 1000 dogs and cats, since we opened our doors. We are located just one hour south of Belgrade and easily accessible to all of Serbia. Being open 7 days a week makes the adoption of a pet convenient for the general public and enables us to place all homeless dogs and cats who urgently need help.

Life on the streets is very hard and risky. Some of stray dogs have a luck to live a long life because they have people who take care of them, but some dogs are poisoned or trampled by a car and die.
In our shelter 320 adult dogs, 20 puppies and 20 cats currently residing, rescued from the streets. So many dogs from the streets needed help and safe place in the shelter.

Our pets remain in our care until they find their permanent guardians, however long that may take. We every day fight to provide food and medical care for these rescued pets while actively pursuing qualified forever homes for all of them. All are vaccinated and spayed before adoption, ensuring that they will not add to the homeless pet crisis.

Our door is open for abandoned dogs and cats, abused, neglected and lost. We do not euthanize for space, EVER! We are not in cooperation with the state! We do not recieve any money from the City or State. We do not catch abandoned animals with nets and tongs, we take them in our arms.

The rescue shelter has adopted out thousands of pets that were abandoned, unwanted, relinquished or needed to be rescued. The shelter has found loving homes for all of these innocent animals, but the work is far from done. Over 500 pets are on a waiting on the streets to come into the shelter. Some rescued animals stay for a day, some a week, some a month and some for a year or more.

Each pet coming into the shelter is health checked, receives all necessary medical attention and vaccinations by a qualified veterinarian and is either spayed or neutered when of age. We solely on the generosity of the general public and people like you.

All our pets are rescued from the streets and looking for a new home. In the shelter every day works three persons only this very hard work. Conditions in the shelter are not so good, but they have safe place for sleep, they have a friends, food and fresh watter. We have no time limit to an animal’s stay while we find a suitable home for them. Every day we fight to provide food, medicines and all other what will make a better conditions.

We are not funded locally or federally, we solely on private donations to keep our shelter open. We desperately need your help to save these abandoned, abused and unwanted pets and to keep them helthy.
