The Scottish Animal Behaviour & Rescue Centre

Building a bridge of understanding between human and non-human animals

SABRC is a registered charity (SCIO) SC045590 and was founded June 2014 to help animals in need, ranging from horses to turkeys and rats to sheep!

Our aim is building a bridge of understanding between human and non-human animals.
In order to achieve our aim we believe education, training and hands on skills with animals are essential.

By explaining and showing the practicalities of natural behaviours, we can improve the welfare of non-human animals dramatically both in companion and domestic species.

SABRC is a small rescue centre of approximately 40 animals, many of which are rescues who need love, patience and permanent sanctuary. You can find out more about our team on this page- they make us smile every day and hopefully they make you smile too!

Our experience working with non-human animals and background in behaviour makes us an all inclusive charity, reaching out to community based projects, other charities and non-human animal owners who may need help and/or advice.

If you run a community based project who could benefit from this type of experience, have a non-human animal who could use a bit of help, need to rehome an animal, want to volunteer or simply have an interest in animal behaviour please get in touch – we’re happy to help in any way we can.
