PUPPIES:

- Adoptions inside our local area include a vet check, 1st vaccination, flea & worm treatment, micro-chip and sterilisation at 6 months of age.
- Adoptions outside our local area includes a vet check, 1st vaccination, flea & worm treatment, micro-chip and a $100 refund upon SWAR receiving a copy of the sterilisation certificate.

KITTENS:

- Adoptions inside our local area include a vet check, 1st vaccination, flea & worm treatment, micro-chip and sterilisation at 6 months of age.
- Adoptions outside our local area include a vet check, 1st vaccination, flea & worm treatment and a $100 refund upon SWAR receiving a copy of the sterilisation / micro-chip certificate.

ADULT DOGS:

- Vet check, 1st vaccination, flea & worm treatment, sterilisation and micro-chip.

ADULT CATS:

- Vet check, 1st vaccination, flea & worm treatment, sterilisation and micro-chip.

For the most part, the adoption fees reflect less than the basic medical expenses incurred for the pet. If that pet had any extra medical treatment, it’s likely that the fee you are charged won’t cover these costs and the rescue group will be out of pocket.

Our adoption fees do not even cover the vet treatments listed above, let alone the cost to buy the food, litter, toys and bedding, nor does it take into account the hours our volunteers contribute to look after the animals in our care.

Puppies & dogs have an adoption fee of $300.
Kittens and cats are $250 ($200 for kittens/cats in our care prior to 1 Jun 17, please check individual profiles).

The reason we can offer our animals at such a discounted rate, which includes all of the above vet work, is through the support and generosity of local veterinary clinics.

The adoption fee for a rescue pet vary greatly for different rescue groups (our exact prices are listed above). Pets that are advertised for ‘free’ online, or purchased from a pet store (without basic inclusions), can still require vet checks, vaccinations, micro-chip and sterilisation. So when you think about it, rescue pets (with the above items included) are worth every dollar!
