Rescue, Rehabilitate, Retrain and Rehome. Our priority is to find well-matched forever homes as many of our horses & ponies have had multiple previous owners.

WINDAMERE HORSE HAVEN was established to help save the poor, neglected, abandoned or unwanted horses that are destined to head to the Knackery.

Our aim is to give these horses a second chance at life through rehabilitation, re-education and TLC. Our view is once the horse is fully recovered and back to full health we will find a suitable adoptive home. We will match horse to new prospective owner with continued ongoing support throughout the horse’s life.

We are not horse dealers and are against “dogging” horses; we offer another alternative to those in need without judgement.

MEMBERSHIP - $30 Annually

SPONSOR A HORSE - Minimum of $10 a week

DONATIONS - We accept cash, rugs, feed, saddler or any items that can be used in raffles.
