The Johnson County Arts and Humanities Council (JCAHC) has served our community since 1982. Our purpose is “to enrich the culture of our community by increasing the local presence and understanding of the arts and humanities”.

We serve as fiscal sponsors for Buffalo Summer Art Guild and Big Horn Mountain Festival Bluegrass Camp for Kids

JCAHC-sponsored programs are funded through memberships, donations, ticket sales, and grants. We gratefully acknowledge previous funding or In-kind assistance from The Hazel Paterson Trust, JCSD#1, Johnson County Recreation District, The Ray and Kay Littler Trust, WESTAF, Johnson County Tourism Association, Big Horn Mountain Festival LLC, the Scott Foundation, Buffalo Development Association, Buffalo Downtown Association, and The Wyoming Arts Council – a state arts agency receiving federal funding from both the Wyoming State legislature and the National Endowment for the Arts.

Our membership year runs from January 1 – December 31st, but membership dues are accepted at any time. Members receive advance notice of events, plus occasional special invitations, discounts, or waived registration fees.

Annual Membership dues of $20.00 help us advertise and promote community programs, pay for liability insurance, and offer scholarships to eligible county residents. Memberships demonstrate community support to our funders for matching grants .

Members are not required to help, but presentation of JCAHC events would simply not be possible without our wonderful volunteers and friends. Thank you, Renewed Members. Welcome, New members!

In accordance with our by laws, The JCAHC Board of Directors is elected by members and serves without compensation. With Board approval, membership dues, donations, participant fees, and grants are used to pay Visiting Artists, Performers, Speakers, Authors, and Kids Camp Directors.
