Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit, ecumenical Christian affordable housing ministry dedicated to eliminating poverty and homelessness. Habitat works in partnership with low-income working families, sponsors and communities to build and renovate decent, affordable housing. Through volunteer labor and donations of money and materials, Habitat builds and rehabilitates decent, affordable homes with the help of the homeowner families. Habitat houses are sold to partner families at no profit, financed with affordable, no-interest loans. The homeowners' monthly mortgage payments are used to build still more Habitat homes.
