Love A Bull Bullies Recue is an independently owned and operated Non-Profit rescue. We are located in Abingdon,Va And serve the Tri-Cities area.(Bristol,VA/TN,Elizabethton,Johnson City,Boone,NC,Abingdon,Va and many more) We mainly Rescue Bully Breeds From high-kill sheltes,abuse/neglect situations, backyard puppy mills ,and from fighting situations.But we will NEVER turn down any dog in need. We work with all of our rescues in a family environment, and if we are at full capacity ,we find our rescues loving fosters until they are ready to be adopted. While in our care, and before adoption Is considered, we work with each and every dog individually and work to address specific needs each dog may have weather it be behaviorally, or emotionally, and work with them to build their self confidence up so they can go on to lead happy healthy lives. Each dog will receive any vet care necessary prior to being made available for adoption. Before each dog can go o a new home, we test them for any signs of fear, anxiety triggers, or aggression. They will be tested in a safe controlled environment here neither the dog nor anyone else will be in danger, we use the presence of cats, other dogs,people the dog is unfamiliar with(strangers to the dog) and food an watch body language for any aggressive, fearful or anxious behavior. In This case Love A Bull will offer another adoptable dog at no charge,if requested.

HOWEVER, If I do choose to give up my pet, I MUST agree to meet half way and return it to Love A Bull Bullies Rescue,and not give it to anyone else, and I may be charged a surrender fee dependent on my reason for surrender, medical and vaccination history, length of time I have owned the pet, and condition of the pet when I surrender him/her. I must also call Love A Bull Bullies Rescue before returning the pet due to space and possible availability restrictions.
___ I acknowledge that the entire family is in agreement with this adoption, that I am 21 years of age or older, that I own my own home or have written landlord’s permission and that there are NO PET ALLERGIES (that cannot be controlled with medication) in the home where the pet will reside. I also understand that I will not receive a refund if I am or if my family develops or has existing allergies to the pet.
________ I understand that the rescue CAN NOT & WILL NOT guarantee the health, breed, or age of this pet but will have this estimated by a veterinarian. Due to the number of dogs that come in as surrenders or strays we are unable to know 100% the breeds or ages of the stray or surrendered dogs.
________I Understand that I should never leave my pet unattended with young children because I understand that my pet may need help in the transitional period to adjust to his new home and surroundings and may not be “himself” during this transitional period. I agree to work with a PROFESSIONAL& ACCREDITED trainer or behaviorist if the pet has or develops behavioral problems at the time of my adoption and/or the years coming.
_______ I am willing to give my pet an unlimited time to adjust to his/her new home and I understand that there may be behavioral issues with my new pet, such as hiding, shyness, not eating, accidents, and a variety of other issues. I was advised about crate training and tips to help a new pet adjust to his home. It is my responsibility to follow the rescues suggestions and do research on making my pet a better member of my family.
___ This mandatory fee of $_________ will be applied towards general upkeep of the rescue, vet care, other pets in the rescue, food, heat, electric, phone, staff, and general expenses. (The rescue runs strictly on adoption fees and donations and these fees pay any and all bills incurred by the rescue. The rescue is NOT funded by state, town, city or government funds.) I understand the rescue has done all that they can for my pet medically prior to him/her leaving. I am FULLY responsible for any and all medical bills incurred by my pet in the future.
___ I hereby agree that any failure of these conditions by myself will immediately void all rights and interests I have gained to the animal after the adoption. I will turn it back over to the rescue and should they have to initiate any action, legal or otherwise, to regain such animal, I agree to indemnify and reimburse said rescue for all attorney’s fees and witness expenses including travel and loss of pay involved therein.
___ If my new pet bites, I WILL BE RESPONSIBLE for the quarantine time OF 10 DAYS. I must also notify the rescue, dog officer and/or my town’s Board of Health. If the pet bites or does any destructive damage to me or anyone else, from this date and time, I understand that is my responsibility and agree not to hold any person, employee, director, officer or volunteer of the rescue, liable.
