The Animal Mission of the Midlands

WHO WE ARE: We fund FREE spay/neuter programs in Richland, Lexington, Kershaw, Fairfield, Calhoun and Orangeburg counties. We've also sponsored a permanent exhibit at EdVenture to educate children about how to care for pets, which opened in November 2011.

Our goals are:
• To support all spay/neuter programs in order to reduce pet overpopulation. This includes funding of free and reduced-cost
spay/neuters each year.
• To promote adoptions of shelter-bound pets.
• To improve the condition and outcome of pets consigned to shelters.
• To promote responsible pet stewardship in our area.
• To educate people, especially children, about appropriate pet selection and care.

The Mission and its board members are committed to public advocacy, community events and public activities that support these goals.
