Humane Ohio

Humane Ohio operates a non-profit, low-cost spay/neuter clinic and pet food bank. www.humaneohio.org

Humane Ohio’s mission is to end dog and cat overpopulation in the Greater Toledo (Ohio) area by offering access to high-quality, affordable spay/neuter and promoting responsible pet care.

We can offer low-cost spay/neuter prices because private donations and grants help off-set the true, higher cost of spay/neuter procedures. Humane Ohio believes that all animals should receive the highest quality veterinary care possible even if the services rendered are at a reduced cost. Our clinic uses state of the art instruments and equipment, all spay/neuter surgeries are performed by licensed veterinarians (DVMs) and every patient receives a brief physical exam and pain medication.

The Humane Ohio Pet Food Bank makes pet food available to pet parents in need and to people caring for free-roaming cats in Lucas, Wood and Monroe counties. This program helps make sure that pets and stray cats in our community do not go hungry, it helps pet parents keep their pets even in tough financial times, and it helps ensure that people do not have to share their own meal with their pets and go hungry themselves.
