The City of Cushing Animal Control Division enforces the city ordinances pertaining to control of livestock and small animals. The Animal Control Officer (ACO) also investigates citizen complaints regarding animals. In addition, the apprehends stray animals.

The ACO has jurisdiction only within the city limits of the City of Cushing. Complaints or concerns regarding animals outside city limits should be forwarded to the Payne County Sheriff's Office or the appropriate municipality.
