LINK Animal Rescue

The LINK between homeless and a furever home.

LINK Animal Rescue was formed after our President visited a rural Kentucky shelter to transport dogs for another rescue organization. There was a very friendly cat living outside the shelter who was desperate for attention. Our President learned the shelter only accepts dogs. When cats are dropped off (often left in the drop pen overnight) the shelter releases them. Although, our President was unable to take the cat with her she continued thinking about him. She emailed various rescues and found one that had space available. Upon her return to the shelter to pick up the cat she and our Secretary discovered a kitten had also been left at the shelter. Both cats were taken and placed with the local rescue and a plan began to form of how to help more cats in the future.

LINK Animal Rescue has started rescuing cats from that rural Kentucky shelter and hopes to expand its efforts to include cats from additional shelters and eventually dogs. Please click on the Get Involved tab if you would like to help us.

We are an all volunteer rescue that is tax exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Code. Our EIN is 81-3435286. Please contact us as linkanimalrescue@gmail.com if you have any questions.
