Habitat Wake builds safe, affordable homes and communities in partnership with Wake County, NC families, sponsors and volunteers.

Our vision is for every family to live in a healthy home, in a peaceful neighborhood, in a sustainable, diverse, tolerant, and vibrant community.

Qualified homebuyers partner with Habitat Wake to buy safe, affordable homes. Homebuyers take homeowner education classes, pay $1,700 in closing costs, and complete 200 'sweat equity' hours building their home and the homes of their neighbors. Upon completion of construction, partner families pay an affordable mortgage. Our model is made possible by sponsors, individual donors, volunteers, and ReStore shoppers.
