The Humanities Department offers courses in literature, creative writing, business and technical writing, Spanish, communication, and philosophy. These courses and programs may be used as preparation for careers in law, publishing, government, and teaching, but they are also essential to the critical thinking, value formation, and political decision-making required of citizens in a democratic society. Our small class size allows students to work closely with instructors and other students. Our program offers opportunities for students to feel a part of a community of learners dedicated to language, literature, and ideas.
