Our Purpose

The Humane Society of Lincoln County has been in operation for over 25 years and is dedicated to:

• Providing shelter and comfort to homeless pets
• Placing adoptable pets into homes where they find respect, value and protection
• Educating the public on humane issues
• Finding solutions to the problems that confront the animals of our community.

Established in 1987, the Humane Society has worked to protect and care for the abandoned pets in Lincoln County. In recent years, building renovations have been underway to make repairs to the existing Shelter to insure a healthy environment for the incoming pets. To address the increasing problem of pet overpopulation, the Humane Society has launched several initiatives promoting the importance of spaying and neutering pets.
