AFEW Animal Friends for Education and Welfare

AFEW is a non profit, volunteer run organization dedicated to animals. We work to find loving homes for homeless animals and to educate the public on critical issues such as spay and neuter.

AFEW is dedicated to helping animals. We work to place homeless animals in loving homes and to foster respect, understanding and care for all animals. As a resuce organization we are aware of overpopulation issues and work hard to promote the spay and neuter practice.

AFEW is a group of volunteers that work with the Hamilton Township Animal Shelter and Adoption Center. AFEW provides vaccinations, spay/neuter, vet care, and microchips for the shelter residents, including other surgeries and medical needs. We also pay board for some animals that cannot remain at the shelter due to space limitations or other circumstances. AFEW volunteers donate their time to exercise, socialize, and train the dogs. Volunteers bring adoptable animals to AFEW's Adoption Day on Saturdays in search of their forever homes.
