On call staff is contacted by the Thomaston Police Department for any animal related issues.

It is the mission of Thomaston Animal Control to uphold the laws of the State of Connecticut pertaining to canines, felines, other pets, and wildlife within the confines of the Town of Thomaston.

Thomaston Animal Shelter is a full function kennel for both canines and felines. The facility features an office/kitchen area, several dog cages, a cat cage, and a fenced in yard. Animal control uses a Dodge Caravan to respond to calls for service, and has all of the tools needed to successfully capture domestic as well as wild animals. Thomaston Animal Control investigates all animal bites as well as rabid animal complaints.
