This is the official page for the City of New London's Animal Control Department. This page is maintained by an employee of the Department, and shall adhere to the City's Social Media policy.

We are a municipal Animal Control facility. We have 2 full-time officers, and cover emergency after-hour calls. Please remember that our officers are not at the shelter for their entire shift. We highly recommend calling the office and setting up an appointment to view our adoptable animals. This helps make sure an Officer will be available.
We handle over 1,500 calls a year, ranging from roaming dogs to cruelty investigations, from rabies exposure cases to injured animals. Our days are highly unpredictable, and no two days are ever the same. Please be patient with our officers if you are waiting for a call back.
