Search and Rescue Dogs of Maryland

SARDOM is an all-volunteer, non-profit search and rescue unit utilizing air-scenting dogs. Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to law enforcement, fire/rescue units, or any official agency. SARDOM provides its services at no cost to the requesting age

So that others may live.

Highly skilled K9 Teams (handlers and dogs) with hundreds of hours of training in multiple disciplines, including:
search strategy
wilderness search and rescue
water recovery
human remains detection / evidence searches
disaster / collapsed structure searches
obedience and agility.
K-9 Handlers trained in CPR/AED/First Aid, wilderness survival and navigation, radio communications, GPS, search strategy and tactics, lost person behavior and terrain analysis.

Base camp and support personnel trained in CPR/AED/First Aid, radio communications, GPS, search management, search strategy and tactics, interview techniques, lost person behavior, and map and compass.

A self-contained base camp unit with communications systems and map files for all local counties.
