We are a not-for-profit humane shelter operating funding, donations, fundraising, grants, and private donations. We also do Animal Control for the City of Huntington; these services are funded by the City of Huntington.

The Huntington County Humane Society , Inc. exists to provide effective means to evaluate, coordinate, and implement programs to improve the quality of life for all animals in Huntington County by:
1. Educating the general public as to proper animal care.
2. Working with interested citizens, government officials and law enforcement officers in areas of need.
3. Taking whatever action is appropriate to correct abuse to animals, whether resulting from cruelty, neglect, or ignorance.
