Helping Animals Rescue Team (HART)
May they forgive us......and may we be worthy of that forgiveness by giving them the only fitting tribute: To stop the killing.
Our mission is to encourage people to adopt from their local animal shelter or rescue, look for their missing pets at their local animal shelter and educate the public on the importance of being a responsible pet owner by spaying and/or neutering and vaccinating.
Helping Animals Rescue Team (HART) was founded in April 2009 and consists of many dedicated animal lovers. We all have one goal...that is to save as many adoptable animals as possible from euthanasia. With the support of rescues, no kill animal shelters, fosters, transporters (ground and air) picture takers, networking, donations and more, HART has succeeded in saving thousands of animals from being euthanzed. We are passionate about the animals in our community and surrounding area, particularly those who end up at a shelter. Because of the shelters limited capacity they are forced to euthanize based on space availability, which unfortunately is several times a week. The number of unwanted animals continues, which breaks our HART. With the help of adopters and rescues around the country, including Canada, we are reducing the number of animals who lose their lives in a shelter. Our goal is to help place adoptable animals into loving furever homes (and keep them there).
