The Humboldt County Division of Animal Care and Control strives to promote responsible pet ownership through education and regulation. We provide animal control and sheltering services for the unincorporated areas of Humboldt County. If you live in an incorporated area of Humboldt County, such as the Cities of Eureka, Arcata, Blue Lake, Trinidad, Fortuna, Ferndale or Rio Dell, or are on Tribal Lands, please contact the appropriate governing authority for information concerning animal regulation in your area.
