Faith's Animal Rescue

Faith Animal Rescue is a 501© (3) non-profit charitable organization. No-Kill

Faith Animal Rescue is a 501© (3) non-profit charitable organization. We currently adopt out of PetSmart at 19th Ave. and Bethany Home Road on Saturday from 11:00am - 4:00pm and Sunday 12:00 - 3:00pm. At present, we are foster based but due to the faltering economy more and more families are being forced to give up their beloved pets. Our foster homes are filled to overflowing and we find ourselves needing a shelter. We are working hard toward that goal so we can help even more pets. If our dreams come true we will have a full service location which includes everything from adoptions to low cost emergency care. * * *How Faith’s was founded:* Faith’s Animal Rescue was started on August 8, 2007 by a group of people who had been working together through various shelters and rescues but saw a void that still needed to be filled and who also agreed on the specifics of how they wanted to help pets in need. F.A.R is made up of vet techs, retired professionals and others still working in large scale business today. We bring a varied and extraordinary group of talents together to help those pets in great need get back into loving homes where they will be cherished family members for life. We receive animals by owner surrender and also use Maricopa County Animal Care and Control (MCACC). By law, all stray animals must go to MCACC. This is so if the animal belongs to someone they have only one place to go to look for their loved one. If an animal has been injured, it should be taken to Humane Society or MCACC where they will receive proper care. Faith’s Animal Rescue takes in cats and dogs of all breeds providing we have room in one of our foster homes. We are a no-kill home-based foster. This means if our foster are full we cannot help other animals in need and have to turn them away to other outlets. Our rescue specialized in neonatal care and we even have a midwife on our volunteer staff. This comes in handy due to the face that kitten and puppy season is in full swing at this time. Our rescue is one in only a handful in Maricopa County which specializes in this care. We currently have pregnant moms who are getting ready to deliver; and babies without moms. The babies with no mom need to be fed every two hours around the clock. As they get older we can begin to lengthen the feeding times. We begin to feed Royal Canin “Baby Cat” which is high in nutrients that the babies need. Immunizations will begin soon and then at eight weeks spay and neuter for the babies. After the recovery time they are finally ready for adoption. F.A.R. is currently looking for goat farmers to supply fresh goats’ milk in order to feed to our babies and pregnant moms. If anyone knows of anyone who is willing to work with us, please contact llmassey@q.com . We always need fosters to love the animals before they go up for adoption. We provide all the food, toys, and medical needs for the animal. The foster provide the love and attention.
