Walter Matthau and I had a lot in common! Both devastatingly handsome, smart, and chill to the bone!!!
I am named after him and I sure understand why- I am such a good boy, happy and loving and I have potential to be someone's very very best chill buddy!

I am only about 6 yrs old but life hasn't been kind to me.. but that honestly doesn't matter- I am on the mend, got my heartworms treated and I have many loyal fans here at the rescue.

I am a lab/pittie mixed boy, with beautiful eyes to my beautiful soul. 45# full grown, I am great with other dogs and cats! I am crate trained and potty trained.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE to play with other dogs and can handle the friends that also like to nap.
I will bark at cats, but have no harmful intentions.
I'm a huge fan of bones and have the cutest "thank you" face when given any food or treats. I'll look at the bowl, then at you to say "thank you" then I'll dig in!
I do like walks, but I prefer a fenced-in-yard where I can run and play freely. I would also prefer a home with another dog to play with.
I do like to play the alpha card, so I would do better in a home with a spayed female, as opposed to a neutered male. I might get a little competitive with a male.

I will be the potato to your couch, so if you are a movie marathon buff, like naps and Pina Coladas, I am your man!!! Look me up, and lets relax together!!!

This is Grandma Mary.

She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and chipped. She is about 12-14 years old.

She does really well with other dogs, as well as cats as long as they are gentle to her.

She is blind and deaf, so she has to have a lot of help getting around until she is used to her surroundings.

She is house and kennel trained when she gets the routine down.

A Home with an quite older couple would be amazing as she has a hard time adjusting to new surroundings.

This is Spencer.

He is available for local adoption through God’s Dogs Rescue.

He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and chipped.

He can be very shy and timid when he first meets someone, but if left alone to decompress and get his bearings he comes around and becomes obsessed with you.

He is good with other dogs, as well as cats.
He does occasionally resource guard things he loves, but he corrects really easily.

He can be pretty submissive to the pack, he pretty much let’s everyone walk all over him. Sometimes literally.

He house and kennel trained.

May be best to go to a house with adults.

Good day! My name is Hermes. I am an amazing dog with qualities every human will enjoy!
I am a 55 lb shepherd/golden mix. I know how to sit, love fellow dogs and cats and need an active lifestyle.
I do need a fully fenced yard and I'm too big and active for an apartment.
I am crate trained but I do need someone who is willing to deal with a few minor accidents. (I tried to mark my foster mama's couch cause it smelled like other animals. Foster mama corrected me and I've been good since.) However, I was adopted and my adopter couldn't break me of my marking habits. SO, I will do best with a consistent and strong leader to make me put my "marker" away :) And I am neutered, lol.

I am great with kids and will make the perfect family dog! I enjoy car rides and I take food and treats gently. I listen and respond when I am called. I also already know and respond to my name!

I'm super smart and super loyal and I will love you until the end of time. I am VERY strong on a leash. I do require an owner who can handle me- or a gentle leader ;)

Bruiser.

She loves everyone and everything. She's super playful and affectionate but also really clumsy. She plays hard but not mean. She's interested in kitties but doesn't attack, just wants to play. She loves walks and car rides. She's still working on potty training. Bruiser is ready for her family! #godsdogsatx #adopt

Atlantis:
She is an awesome and SMART girl :) Like any pup, she is exploring the world with her mouth open and ready, lol. She is learning not to puppy bite with consistent "no's" :)
She has already learned 'sit', we're making progress on 'lay down' and walks very well on a leash(when she wants to).

She's rather lazy when it comes to walks, she doesn't always want to go. She sits often when the other dogs stop and there isn't anything she wants to look at.
She sometimes barks at people when she sees them, usually at a distance, but it is her sneaky way of getting them to visit her, she gets very happy if the come over to pet her.

If she doesn't bark, she likes to sit and just watch people. She's super sweet and likes to sit on laps. She likes to play, but tends to be a bit unaware of where she bites sometimes(if I'm holding a toy, she sometimes gets my hand trying to take it from me).
She makes a bit of noise when she's playing and when food is being made, but other than that she's pretty quiet generally. We had a little issue with food aggression with her favorite treats, but that hasn't happened in a bit. Now she tends to seeming swallow her treats almost whole when she's in with Piper. So, she might be best getting long lasting treats while kenneled alone. She is working on potty training.
We have two cats and she's pretty good with them. She always wants to play, but will back off if the cat tells her to (ours will smack her if she gets too close or excited). Generally she just sniffs or pokes them with her nose if they allow her close enough.
Sweet Atlantis is ready for her forever home!!!

I was the first born in the Turtle family, AND the biggest ;) My mama, Turtle Brownie, had five little turtles but I was the FIRST BORN and because of that... I AM THE BEST!!
My mama and siblings all look VERY chiweenie, I am a little larger than them as well and we are thinking I have a little mini LAB in there, LOL. I probably have a different daddy than my siblings......

I am great with everyone I meet- large and small, human, canine and EVEN Feline!

If you are a physically active person, we would get along fabulously! I love all people, little people, and other dogs who like to play with me!

My perfect match would be with someone who spends time with me actively so I can burn off my energy.
My foster mom says "Tulla is very smart and athletic. She loves going on sniff walks and could probably walk for miles. She ALSO is a GREAT running partner!! *** AND A FRISBEE CATCHER :)**

Another person we’d be completely lost with out is the amazing Leah! She’s the definition of Jack of all Trades. Leah works as a Vet Tech, Transporter, Office Manager and computer guru! We’d be struggling daily if it wasn’t for her and her dedication to the rescue and keeping it running so smoothly. She has such heart and dedication to the dogs. Without Leah we wouldn’t be functioning to the capacity that we are today!
