Boom Boom is out of surgery and doing well. He had 2 lipomas taken out from his right side, 2 Mast Cell tumors removed from his anus, 1 Mast Cell tumor removed from his inner thigh, and a growth in his mouth removed. Everything will be sent out for biopsy to check margins and the grade of Mast Cell. We get to pick our handsome guy up tomorrow! If all comes back we'll Babs and Boom Boom can start the search for their forever home!

Our estimate from the soft tissue surgeon was very high, so after talking with the board about our huge expenses for Boom Boom, Daisy, and Sissy, we decided to see if our local board certified surgeon can fix up Boom Boom. Today Boom Boom has his consult with Dr. Runnels and we are praying she says she can fix him. If she can, he will have surgery today! Paws crossed she can get rid of his Mast Cell and we don't have to break the bank to get this sweet boy fixed up!

Milo and Junebug are getting their night time romping in! Milo really does well with Junebug.... out of all the foster siblings he is only playful with her. Even when he gets overly excited he is always gentle with his new friend, she has really been helping Milo learn proper play.

The days have definitely gotten shorter and the nights are much colder! Mocha doesn't mind though because it means extra snuggles under warm blankets.

Surgery for Sissy is postponed until next Friday. Unfortunately she had a reaction to one of the preanesthetic meds which caused her blood pressure to tank. She was immediately dosed with the reversal med and stabilized. So Friday will be a completely different anesthesia protocol. We are happy she is safe back in her foster home and thankful for our vets office for taking such good care of Sissy and giving her a week before trying again.

Sissy is ready for today! Her rotten teeth will be taken out, and she will have her teeth that affect her jaw from closing removed as well which raises the costs more to remove healthy teeth, but we trust our dentistry vet will make her feel good as new! She will also be spayed, and have spinal xrays today. We will see if she needs to see a neurologist or not based on what is seen on xray. Poor girl is happy and adorable, but she is definitely a bit of a congenital mess. Today is her day to feel new again!

Willy Wonka wishes you all a goodnight! He is content with his clean sweater warm out of the dryer, a nice warm orthopedic bed, and a warmed rope toy to use as a pillow. This boy is so sweet, completely house trained, and just happy as can be! He sees the vet on the 17th with an ultrasound scheduled for the 18th.
