The Humane Society/Animal Resources of DeKalb (HSARD) is a shelter-less, 501c3 non-profit animal welfare agency.

Our mission has always been to prevent pain and suffering of all animals throughout our community, as well as provide resources that will not only enhance the quality of life for the animals in our community, but prevent neglect, educate pet owners and cause owners to view animals in their care, as living sentient beings deserving of respect and proper care.

At the present time we are funded by local donations, an occasional grant, and fund raising events. Our mission; to prevent pain and suffering of all animals through intervention, education and resources. HSARD has cared for approximately 75,000 animals to date.
