Flora is LOVING the rescue life but is still waiting for forever!

This sweet girl came to us as a very skinny 6 week old kitten with badly infected eyes and a severe Upper Respiratory Infection causing her to be unable to eat. Though Tasha was able to fight off most of the infection and gain weight, after several antibiotics and immune support supplements she still has had lingering Upper Respiratoy Infection symptoms for months. The vet has determined this may be something she will have to live with for years or potentially her full life.

While not the most glamorous of looks, her runny eyes and occasional runny nose really haven’t slowed her down. Tasha is now 6 months old and an absolute sweetheart. She loves getting attention and always greets you with a loud purr. She has a deep appreciation for chasing kitty toys, especially those with feathers. She loves everyone she meets including children and large dogs! She is sure to bring joy to anyone’s life, she just needs someone willing to look past her imperfection and offer her unconditional love.

Tasha has not required any recent medications and does not currently require any special care. She does however benefit from continuing on an immune system support supplement which is sprinkled on her food and is generally inexpensive.

Sadly because Tasha has the potential to get other cats sick, she does need to be the only feline in the house.

Nala got a sweater today to keep her warm. She has a very bare belly, and some thin fur. She was not built for the cold, but would be excellent for someone who loves dressing their dogs up 😉

So far we’ve learned-

🐾 She does well keeping her crate clean
🐾 Shes a quiet girl, not a barker
🐾 Good with cats
🐾 Loves all dogs and people ❤
🐾 She def. needs a yard to run off some steam, or an active family
🐾 She loves kids but is not a good choice for young kids as she jumps up on people a lot.
