NO STRAYS OR SURRENDERS HERE. The city & county shelter is at 101 Coliseum St off Hwy. 84.

We are a 'Friends of the Shelter' community animal welfare society. We are not an animal control shelter and pets here are from Covington County animal control shelters. Our mission is to spay & neuter and find homes for animals from the animal control shelters in Covington County that often reach capacity and are required to make room for more unwanted dogs and cats arriving daily.

Our only source of funding is from donations and fundraisers. Please support us! All funds are used right here in our community and are tax-deductible. We have no paid staff. Our capacity is limited and ability to care for animals daily depends entirely on community volunteers.

NOT THE CITY'S ANIMAL CONTROL SHELTER - IT IS STILL LOCATED ON COLISEUM STREET.

We are an all volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit, "Friends of the Shelter" support agency and DO NOT accept strays or surrenders from the public.

Our adoptable dogs and cats come from animal control shelters and ALL are spayed/neutered, wormed, and current on shots prior to adoption. Some will also have received additional treatments and services prior to placement.

Our suggested adoption donation is $95 for dogs & $65 for cats - with all adoption fees going back into our spay and neuter program, so please be as generous as you can!
