To decrease the number of homeless, neglected, injured, displaced, and abused animals at the City / County Animal Shelter in Gillette, Wyoming while helping them on their journey to forever homes by raising funds, implementing, continuing, and supporting programs aimed at educating and assisting the community, and to help the shelter facility with expansions needed to achieve the goals herein.

Friends of Gillette Animal Shelter is a Non-Profit organization governed by a board of directors and officers. Friends of Gillette Animal Shelter was born from Volunteers at the shelter collaborating with the shelter director on ways that they could benefit the shelter and the animals that come into it. Fund raising alone would not be enough. They needed a group ready and willing to take on all the challenges of getting the animals the best chance possible for a future in a forever home while also finding ways of supporting the community of pet owners. Thus Friends of Gillette Animal Shelter was created to step in and offer help where it is needed most.
