As a Township resident if you lose your dog please contact the Township Building to report it missing. This information will be relayed to our Animal Control Officer so that is picks it up we can get ahold of you. On the same note if your pet comes home please let us know as well so that you don’t get a call needlessly in the middle of the night asking if we have your dog.

If you have a problem with a stray dog wheather it is your neighbor’s dog or a total stranger please report this to our Animal Control Officer to handle it. PLEASE DO NOT take the law into your own hands we are trained to deal with these situations will try and resolve them in a neighborly fashion.

If you find a stray dog please contact our Police Department who will contact the Township Animal Control Officer to pick up the dog and take the necessary action to try and get the dog back to its rightful owner. The Chester County SPCA will not accept animals from the general Public coming from West Vincent Twp

For those dog owners that have had your pet Micro Chipped please be sure to register the chip so now that we have a chip scanner we can find you and get your pet home.

Lastly all dogs in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania must be licensed on or before January First of every year. Our Animal Control Officer with the assistance of the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture Dog Law Division will be doing a License Canvas at some point in the near future. Any dog found to be unlicensed the ower could face a fine of up to $500.00 plus court costs. A fact that you may or may not know about is that if you have your dog micro chipped you can use that chip as a lifetime license for your dog with a huge cost savings on buying a license every year.
