Battersea is here for every dog and cat, and has been since 1860. Over more than 150 years, we've gone from one home in London to three rescuing and rehoming centres across the country and have cared for over three million vulnerable animals.



We aim to never turn away a dog or cat in need of our help, caring for them until their owners or loving new homes can be found, no matter how long it takes. We are champions for, and supporters of, vulnerable dogs and cats, determined to create lasting changes for animals in our society.


We have three centres - London, Old Windsor in Berkshire and Brands Hatch in Kent.

We are open 10.30am - 5pm every day with the last admission at 4pm.

Visitors can meet some of our animals, speak to our expert team for help and advice or pick up Battersea souvenirs.
