Valhalla Rescue

''You'll Never Stand Taller Than When You Bend Over To Help An Animal In Need.'' 501(c)3 All breed rescue specializing in medical and special needs dogs.

Valhalla Canine Rescue's mission is to help improve the lives of animals through rescue and education programs. We specialize primarily in Canines, but assist all animals in times of need. Our volunteers are experienced animal advocates and most are professionals in a variety of animal care and behavior fields. Our mission is to:

• Rescue neglected, abused, abandoned and otherwise needy animals in our region.
• Provide family style environments, training and medical care for animals in our program while awaiting adoption in forever homes.
• Reduce animal neglect and cruelty and also improve public safety by providing education materials and programs on all aspects of animal care, training and overall basic canine behavior.
• Create and operate community support programs to help maintain the human/pet bond and help establish disaster preparedness protocols to provide safe evacuation and sanctuary to animals in times of crisis and emergencies.

We abide by the NAIS code of Rescue Ethics

We are a 501(c)3 non-profit animal rescue. Volunteer based, we specialize in animals with medical needs. We ensure that no animal is ever euthanized for a medically treatable condition. We also operate a community outreach program to ensure that families can keep their companions during times of need, but offering a homeless, senior and outplaced food bank to provide temporary food and other pet products for families that want to keep their companions

Valhalla Rescue receives no grants or support from local or national humane organizations and depend solely on donations, adoption fees and fundraisers to help our dogs.
