From foster mommy🥰
I couldn’t be more proud of my foster pup Bunny.... with some proper intros and time, she made two new friends today and has had a blast playing. This is Hugs, and KiKi they are my friends foster dogs I’m dog sitting for a week while she is on vacation. Hugs and Kiki are under 2 yrs old, very dog social, and looking for loving families to call their own also. All three of these cuties are available for adoption!! Please share!! Northern California.♥️🐶🐶🐶
🍪Oreo from Riverside shelter has been adopted!
Look how gorgeous this boy is!! He was private adopted from that shelter and returned on the next day for not getting along with the people’s dog. Really?? People doesn’t give time for the dogs to adjust, they want that perfect dog right there, without putting any effort to it. We rescued him when he went to the euthanasia list. Now he is adopted and living the best life with his siblings! 🤗🎉Have a wonderful life boy, we love you!
Our sweet little Sasha is patiently waiting for a home of her own. We have barely had any interest for her which is crazy. She is perfect in every way and just wants to please. She has had a rough past as some of you may know. For those who are new to our page, Sasha is a 4 year old bully mix, around 45 lbs, who has pushed out multiple unnecessary litters in her short life span. All her pups we had went to forever homes and now it’s her turn!. She has blossomed into such a beautiful soul in the past few months that she has been with us. She loves everyone here at her foster home and we couldn't be happier to see her both happy and content in life 💕 Sasha is great with other dogs, but can be a bit shy with new people. It just takes her some time to warm up so she sticks to herself most of the time, but she’s very sweet. Sasha would be great in a quieter home without young children and small pets. She is perfectly house and crate trained. Now someone in the NOR CAL area please adopt this sweet muffin 😍🌼🥰❤

Such a touching story!🐾♥️😊
My name is Pinkie Pie - Hello!
And I am here to say, "How ya doin'?"
I'm gonna make you smile, and I will brighten up your day!
This beautiful girl filled our lives with light and laughter for 5 wonderful years. Picked up at 7 years old as a stray on Lime Kiln Rd, the huge pup then known as "Jenny" sat at Sammie's for weeks waiting for her new family.
My husband (then boyfriend), Steven, and I walked in ti the shelter looking for his first dog, who could also be a friend to my pup. We knew we wanted big, but were also hoping for older and male, due to my dog's temperament. Michelle brought her out, and my husband instantly fell in love. Within 5 minutes, the Forest Gump jokes started flowing, and so I suggested the name Pinkie Pie, the pony of smiles and parties. It was a perfect fit!
We brought her home, acclimated her to our herd of cats and my pushy Belgian Malinois with only child syndrome, and got her a full vet workup. Neglect from her previous family had resulted in various issues (heartworm, lyme disease, anaplasmosis, erlicheosis) as well as other older pup issues, such as hypothyroidism.
With a clean bill of health, she joined us in our adventures. Summer brought trips to the river, Fort Bragg, and Bodega Bay, and winter took us on frosty hikes through the Sierras. She loved the water and snow, and was always so happy wherever went. The only thing she ever demanded was an open window on every car trip, despite wind, sleet, hail or snow. On the long 4 hour trips to the coast, her head never left her window, much to the irritation of the other occupants in the back getting hit with spit and bad weather.
She and my pup, Shippou, became best friends, and she was ecstatic when we adopted another puppy from Sammie's. Little Maude Pie, plus the Great Pyrenees named Yuki that we later inherited from a family member, kept her running well into her golden years, with Shippou playing fun police over the entire pack.
Pinkie Pie walked with us when we got married, stayed with us through several moves, helped me in my garden, chased off raccoons and foxes, even fought a bear! She sat with me when I was pregnant, and greeted the new little addition with a lick and a tail wag.
Like us all, Pinkie Pie got old, and her spine slowly began to break down. Acupuncture and medications helped, but we knew it was only a matter of time until she could no longer walk. Shortly after the birth of our son, and her 9th "last trip" to the ocean, Pinkie could no longer stand on her own, and her medications stopped keeping the pain at bay. Although our hearts wept, and my husband was inconsolable, we knew it was time.
Her last two days on this earth were filled with every treat imaginable, including piles of cheeseburgers and stacks of chicken. On her last day, Steven took her on a car ride around the neighborhood so she could stick her head out and smell the things going on, and she spent her afternoon in her meadow laying in her little pond, covering herself in mud and chewing on a rawhide. She went to sleep with a cheeseburger in her mouth, being held by her daddy in the flowers, surrounded by her pack and all the people who loved her.
Almost a year later, and we still miss her dearly. Some dogs enter your life and never truly leave, and she was one of them. Our trips will never be the same without the wind ripping things around the car, and what will we do without the puddles of drool on the floor whenever she saw us cooking? She was a pup unlike any other, and we will always remember her sweet disposition. It turns out she was perfectly named, because Pinkie Pie was her personality. "Smile, smile, smile! Fill my heart up with sunshine, sunshine!"
We love you, pretty girl.
Katie and Steven
**Fosters Needed in Santa Rosa, CA**
We have two of our rescues from the infamous and recently collected Tracy hoarding home who need foster in the Santa Rosa area while we work out getting their vet care and neuter surgeries scheduled. Pick up would be Tuesday or Wednesday this week and we are considering Foster-To-Adopt homes as well, if we find the right fit.
SKIP- Mini Aussie Shepherd, young puppylike (less than 1 year old). Exhibits typical Aussie characteristics like intense focus, intelligence, wanting attention and activity. Needs someone breed-savvy, understanding of shepherd traits, loves to jump and run but has been starved for attention so needs patience while he settles in and figures out how to be a dog, taking cues from a human leader. We'd love a placement where the human is willing to work with him on basic manners as he appears to be wanting that and will learn quickly with positive reinforcement.
HUMPTY- Yorkie, around 1 or 2 yrs old. Very hesitant, shy, nervous but also really wanting to be with people- just has to learn how to trust. He has clearly never been inside a home or snuggled and he desperately wants it, we need to find a foster who will work with him and show him how a world with humans works. He is not aggressive at all, timid and nervous and insecure. He darts around and hides in new environment so someone home a lot would be a great fit for this guy, let him come out of his shell slowly and learn what life can be like in a loving home.
If you feel like you can help with this poor severely neglected animals please let us know. The hoarding home they came from was a dire situation and they deserve one-on-one care to learn human love and attention. They WANT it because it's programmed in dog DNA to bond with humans, but they need to be shown it's possible and they will never be neglected again.
Message us today; let's give these sweethearts a new life.
If you are unable to foster but want to help us with our Tracy Hoarder 7, we have a Facebook Fundraiser link as well as a Cuddly Donation Wishlist set up for them:

Happy Sunday everyone with this very cute video of Blanca and her brother running in the yard! We rescued her on her last day , she was labeled as fearful!! Sooo wrong!! She was just scared! But now she is a happy girl, living the life that she deserves! 💜🤗🐶
Hello. Just sending a few pics of Juniper. We have had her just over two years now and she is still amazingly sweet. Just not to other dogs. Summer is harder because of the heat but we take her with us as often as we can. We adventure to places we know she will have to herself and can enjoy some stick chasing. She even loves her pup drink too.

**FOSTER SECURED! THANK YOU LORA!**
Unfortunately, Pippin is our only remaining available dog who did not find and Adopter or Foster Family today. 😭💔
Pippin would LOVE to find a foster for 2 weeks before he attends the Bay Area Adoption Event on September 14th!
Do you have an extra bathroom he can stay in for two weeks (he’s a bit bossy with other dogs so separate is fine, unless you are home to monitor dog behaviors).
Please let us know and we can get you signed up as temporary foster to help this little guy on his way to a permanent home!!!🐾
