ASPEN is a 3 month old, very sweet little girl who was found as a stray along with her two siblings (Gabe and Ashton) and mother( Farah). Until she knows the routine, she is cautious and careful.
She loves her wet food and attention. ASPEN likes to play with toy mice and ribbons on a wand. She especially likes when the toy moves under a towel. She is just starting to learn to use a cardboard scratcher..
ASPEN will do best in a relatively calm environment. She would be fine with older, kind children. ASPEN has not been exposed to dogs and will do fine with nice cats if given a slow introduction.
ASPEN will brighten up your life!
If you are able to give two kittens a loving home please consider adopting ASPEN with one of her siblings. Visit our website at www.rescueahart.org to fill out an adoption application.
Meet CUPCAKE (or Cee Cee as her foster calls her)! CEE CEE is an owner surrender. This poor girl had been tied to a tree and we are unsure on how long. CEE CEE has had no training and is starved for attention. She is like a little puppy trapped in a big body at 65 lbs at 10 months of age. CEE CEE is doing very well on her housebreaking and with a training collar, she is walking good on a leash. She is crate trained, goes in easily and sleeps through the night, without a sound.
Upon arriving at her foster home, she obviously lacked manners, jumping, running, mouthing, and body checking (her foster can show you her bumps and bruises). 🤭 She still plays rough with other dogs. CEE CEE just wasn't taught proper manners when she was a younger and smaller pup.
CEE CEE is a beautiful purebred Doberman. We were told she was a blue Dobie but her foster is seeing dark red and black. She is simply beautiful!!!
CEE CEE has made a lot of progress in the short time she has been with her foster. She is very smart and knows it! CEE CEE is a typical, stubborn Dobie. She currently is in heat and will not be adoptable until she is spayed.
The requirements to adopt CEE CEE are: commitment to continued training, prior Dobie experience, physical fenced yard, no small children (she is too active), another active and energetic dog to play with and an active family with lots of patience. Dobermans are extremely loyal and devoted. They are also intelligent, stubborn and strong. With continued training, CEE CEE will be an amazing addition to your family.
If you can commit to all of the requirements and would like to meet this stunning beauty, visit our website at www.rescueahart.org to fill out an adoption application.
ASTON is a 3 month old, sweet boy who was found as a stray
with his two siblings (Gabe and Aspen) and mother (Farah).
He is initially a little shy but over time understands the routine
and wants to be involved. He likes to play with strings on a wand and likes it when toys move under a blanket.
New situations and noises can scare him causing him to hide.
Place him in a towel/ small blanket on your lap, pet him and this baby will be relaxed purring away in no time!
ASHTON will do best in a calm, relatively quiet environment with lots of lap time and play. He will do best if started out in a small space in your home, gradually expanding his territory over time.
ASHTON has not been exposed to dogs but will be fine with other cats if given a slow introduction. He would do best in a calm home with kind older children. This baby is a sweet one and will make a great pet.
If you are looking for two kittens ASHTON would love to be with adopted with his brother, Gabe or his sister, Aspen or hi mama Farah. Please visit our website at www.rescueahart.org to fill out an adoption application.
Remember “Atlas”....now Miller. He is doing wonderful. Still puppy through and through. But sweet as sweet can be. He isn’t so small anymore. He has his brothers that he loves to play with NON stop and knows what time dinner is, bedtime and what time to wake up. He has certainly come a long way.

Here's the background story on our Hurricane Dorian rescue dogs. <3 These missions require complex planning and logistics. Clermont Animal CARE Humane Society was proud to be a part of this effort and #PayItForward. Thanks to Pittsburgh Aviation Animal Rescue Team, the rescuers in Charleston, and all on our end who helped make it happen! #ItTakesAVillage
Are you looking for me? I am an 11 month old black cat who is ready to be loved on. I was found pregnant at a young age and a nice lady called HART and saved me and my babies’ lives. I had 5 babies, can you believe it? I’m so tiny! Anyways, my babies are all independent of me now and today my foster Mom told me it’s my turn to have all the attention. I am a very independent kitty who loves to explore my house. I have been fostered in a home with several other cats and a dog, but would prefer to be either an only cat or adopted with one of my babies. I was an excellent Mama cat, but it’s time for me to retire with a loving family. Oh and did I mention I’m good around little kids? Please arrange to meet me!
P.S. May the force be with you!
If you are interested in meeting PRINCESS LEIA, visit our website at www.rescueahart.org to fill out an adoption application.
At 4:30pm last night, we had committed to pulling 5 shelter dogs from a Hurricane Dorian rescue transport, but had no idea how we would get them from Washington, PA to Cincinnati. By 2:45am on Monday morning, we've now got 8 new rescue dogs originally from Florida, (then transferred and rescued again from Charleston), and 4 new amazing volunteers who drove the 6 hour round trip at the drop of a hat.
You never know what curveballs life will throw you, but we're so inspired to see how everyone came together so quickly to make this happen. We've got this! Thank you, Clermont County. #ClermontCARES #PayingItForward
This is Daisy and Acorn! Our two Hurricane Dorian pitties that my daughter Allie Carpenter and I helped transport to the shelter tonight. Neither one of us had done this before but we knew that we could and that we needed to if our offer of help was needed. I can honestly say that helping these two beautiful pitties is one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. Thank you to my fellow transporters and the staff here at the shelter. Come out and see our Florida doggies when they’re ready for visitors!
THEY HAVE ARRIVED! Check out their new happy pictures here at the shelter.
They're on their way!! Thanks to Jennifer, Marie, Victoria and Melissa for driving transport, and to Meaghan and Carolyn for doing intake at 1am tonight. Thanks to Pittsburgh Aviation Animal Rescue Team for helping with the transport on the first half of their journey.
Here's a first look at our Hurricane Dorian dogs from Brevard County Animal Services and Animal Services of Osceola County. We'll take good care of your babies!
