This page is for all animals that Bristol, Va Animal Control brings in to their holding facility (Jones Animal Hospital).

Reuniting found pets with their owners and placing adoptable animals in permanent loving homes.

This page is for the purpose of providing information to owners of lost pets and providing forever homes to those animals who are not reclaimed. All animals impounded by Animal Control are held for 5 days (with no identification) or 10 days (with any type of identification). Animals can be reclaimed at Jones Animal Hospital located at 603 Volunteer Parkway Bristol, TN. (423) 968-7011 ***Please note: This page is for the return/ adoption of animals brought in by animal control. For all animal control related issues please contact animal control directly at 276 645-3714. If there is no answer leave a message with a return phone number. Messages left on this page may not be answered in a timely manner.**** All animals being reclaimed MUST show proof of current Rabies Vaccination. If animal is reclaimed the same day it was impounded the fee is waived. The current reclaim fee is $40.75 Animals who do not have proof of current Rabies Vaccination MUST vaccinate prior to leaving. Adoption fee is $40.75 that includes DHLPP (for dogs) or FVRCP (for cats). If you live on the TN side you must prepay for spay/neuter if the animal is too young. If the animal is old enough they must be spayed/neutered prior to leaving. If you live on the VA side you must sign a contract saying that you will get the animal spayed/neutered within stated time period. Rabies vaccine is $17.50 We offer spaying and neutering at a discounted price for the animals in the shelter. Dog Spay - $83.25 Dog Neuter - $75.00 Cat Spay - 64.50 Cat Neuter - $43.75
